Arrival of the Baby
Pregnancy alone is a very special experience but it is nothing in compare with arrival of the baby. The closer the date of birth is the higher is the tension of both expecting parents. When the baby is finally born and when a woman takes her baby into her arms all the pain during labour usually fades away in a moment.
When doctors determine health and well-being of the mother and baby they are allowed to go home where everything for arrival of a new family member is usually being prepared already much earlier. However, a baby also requires a lot of responsibility, sacrifice, adjustment as well as a lot of sleepless nights. Having a baby is a full job and is from time to also stressful and exhausting. For that reason woman after childbirth needs a lot of support and understanding from her partner who should actively participate in care of newly arrived baby. Fortunately, fathers are equally if not even more thrilled (although they often do not show it) over the arrival of the baby like the mothers.
When the mother and baby arrive home from the hospital they should be left in peace
for a certain period and not be overstrained by constant visits of relatives,
friends and neighbors. It is understandable that all want to see the baby and to ask
the mother how she is doing but arrival of a baby is a major change and a family
needs time for itself during the first days after the childbirth.
