Baby Care
Babies require special care and a lot of attention which is usually a 24-hour job. When the baby is not asleep there is always something he/she needs and or wants and thus one of the parents (usually mother because of breastfeeding) needs to be available whenever the baby starts to cry. Babies do not speak and anytime they want something or is something wrong for example when having stomach cramps all they do is cry.
Baby care is often associated with baby food, various baby shampoos, creams, powder, diapers, etc. but baby care is much more what clearly proves the fact that often only parents can calm the crying baby. As already mentioned babies cry when they hungry, when they are alone, when they have stomach cramps, when their teeth start to grow, when they are uncomfortable, etc. There are virtually millions of reasons why the baby is crying and only parents know what the baby wants or needs. Thus baby care also requires understanding of the baby’s feelings and needs which are expressed in a way that is often known only to the loving and caring parents.
In order to provide the baby optimal conditions for his/her development and growth,
to make him/her comfortable, warm, cozy and happy many parents often overreact. It
is completely normal to want all the best for ones child and to spoil him/her but
some parents spoil their children too much and many start to feel like being their
slaves after a while. To avoid that is recommendable to establish certain order and
discipline for example to put the baby to sleep at the same time everyday and not to
allow just about anything. That way the baby will eventually get used to certain
rules what will also make parenting a lot easier when the child grows older.
